IT Manager - Holmdel office

The IT Manager will hold a key technical role, with a knowledge that covers the environment at a hands-on level through to strategic management incorporating the entire business.

He/she will manage systems- and user support for a site of 25 users within his/her own responsibility, however, in co-operation with his/her IT colleagues at other Chiltington offices worldwide.

The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong technical background, knowledge of systems management across MS Windows/MS Office environments, and Lotus Domino email- and database systems.

Candidate Responsibilities

          • Manage and maintain an infrastructure environment that meets the demands of all business units, ensuring performance of all technologies for users on site as well as remote users Monitor all operational systems ensuring appropriate levels of availability, reliability, and integrity that meet the needs of the business systems
          • Install, and customise the infrastructure, network, telecommunications and security platforms and related software environments, ensuring effective management and operation of all systems
          • Provide technical advice, assistance, and guidance to user staff from all business units
          • Manage problem determination of technical and application software as required, and take the prime responsibility for effecting rapid correction of any faults within the technical software or infrastructure
          • Set targets for the implementation of technical systems and ensure these targets are met
          • Prepare submissions for major hardware and software acquisitions and approve those for minor items
          • Regularly review, test and update the Disaster Recovery services
          • Regularly review and update as necessary the organisation’s Network and Security Policy

 Mandatory skills

          • High level of skill and experience in assistance and support of users in the consultancy business Develop, test, document and implement application systems based on Lotus Domino and/or MS Access that assist and support user staff from all business units
          • Experience in sites with expanding operational systems and active systems development environments
